About Us

Since 2010, the Vitae Clinic has held a higher standard of care for our patients in all aspects of obstetrics, infertility, and gynecology with respect and value of life. The Vitae clinic is a truly unique private office where your gynecological and obstetric care is our highest privilege. We are here to care for patients from adolescence through menopause with a level of care and commitment you may have never experienced before. At the Vitae Clinic, our sincerest hope is to nurture a relationship of care with each patient that will last a lifetime

We serve the needs of women through NaProTECHNOLOGY®. This comprehensive system was developed through extensive research at the National Center for Women’s Health. It provides the best in current medical care, applying diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in a way that is cooperative with the natural functions of a woman’s body. It can be used to treat a wide range of gynecologic problems including premenstrual tension syndrome, ovarian cysts, abnormal bleeding, irregular cycles and recurrent miscarriages.
Since its creation in 1976, NaProTECHNOLOGY® has helped thousands of women and couples achieve their family planning goals.

The successes of these innovations have inspired us to create an office where we can provide top tier health care while still staying true to our faith- based ethics and devotion to high standards of medical and surgical practice. Therefore, we do not provide oral or other artificial contraceptives, provide or refer for abortions, or use methods of achieving pregnancy that contradict these directives.

Dr. Weidaw brings more than 15 years of medical experience to the Vitae Clinic and has been a board-certified OB-GYN since 2008, practicing full-scope obstetrics and gynecology. As a devoted Catholic, she is passionate about using faith-based medicine to treat women throughout their entire reproductive lives and through the evolution of menopause. After living in Ohio her whole life, she chased sunshine down to San Antonio, where she completed her residency. Following her training, Dr. Weidaw officially began her career among the faculty at a teaching hospital, passing on her knowledge to the next generation of aspiring residents and medical students.

Since her time as a mentor, Dr. Blake Weidaw has grown her diverse career and practice by treating active servicewomen and their families at a Naval Hospital prior to opening her own private practice in Austin. Her range of experience is evidence of her ability to work successfully with different patients across a variety of clinical settings. As part of her new role at the Vitae Clinic, Dr. Weidaw is trained in NaProTECHNOLOGY®. With the addition of her new skill set, she looks forward to treating even more women.

I worked in Labor & Delivery at Seton for ten years and was fortunate to work with Dr. Kalamarides and Dr. Weidaw during some of that time. I have also been a patient here at Vitae, and I have my own experiences with Creighton charting and infertility. My husband, Andrew, and I have three boys now and we are parishioners of St. Louis Catholic Church. We love hockey and spending time outdoors. I look forward to meeting everybody!”

Samantha completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas in Austin and her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. She has been working with Seton Healthcare Family as a Family Nurse Practitioner since May 2018.
